A rare but predictable cosmic event is the planet Venus crossing the face of the sun. The next time this will occur will be in the year 2117. Amazing footage of the event was taken by NASA’s sun exploration satellite named SDO which stands for the Solar Dynamics Observatory. The SDO is capable of recording extreme high-definition video of the sun.
