Swiss photographer Christian Mülhauser in his video, Aurora 2012, captured the most active Aurora Borealis we’ve seen. He traveled to Norway, specifically the towns of Ravnastua, Skoganvarre and Lakselv, and using time lapse photographic techniques, captured the northern lights. He took the pictures over the course of several nights with the activity peaking on the 24th of January. Christian mentioned he had to battle frozen cameras on the first couple of night due to the -13F temperatures. Also we’re not big fans of the music in this video – something Christian apologized for as well – but we thought the light show was so spectacular, it was worth including.
