Twenty-two years ago today the Berlin wall collapsed signifying the end of an era as thousands of people enthusiastically started tearing down this hated structure. In the end what remained of this massive wall were just a few small sections, kept for posterity, with one part later becoming known as the East Side Gallery. This part became, in effect, the largest open air gallery in the world characterized by an incredible mixture of colors, artistic vision, and painting styles.
