Dollar origami is the traditional art of Japanese origami applied to dollar bills. The distinct differences are the non-square shape of the dollar, as most origami starts with square paper, and the dollar’s texture. Nonetheless the same origami folding techniques can be applied and wonderful creations can be made from paper money. Honolulu designer Won Park is particularly skilled at dollar origami – below are a series of his creations.
