Here’s a cool homemade device for making neat sketches called spirographs. By taking two turntables, each spinning at different speeds and some hinged wooden sticks, each turntable can influence the motion of the pen. The path of the pen changes over time creating the spirographic effect. Similar results can actually be accomplished with a laser and spinning mirrors.
