Inside Out Plushies

These adorable plushies gained a second life by undergoing major surgery, that is, they were completely turned inside out. With this design, the Zurich-based Atelier Volvox won the German Recycling Design Prize in 2012. These plushies called “Outsiders” were originally collected from second-hand stores around Switzerland. Although the idea of turning these little fellows inside out sounds bizarre, designers Lea Gerber and Samuel Coendet assure that they are really cute.
