What could be the first Space Shuttle launch since the final voyage of Atlantis in July 2011, Raul Oaido from Romania paid tribute to the famous Space Shuttle by launching his own LEGO shuttle into space using a weather balloon. By attaching his shuttle to a large balloon filled with helium, the “shuttle” was able to reach an altitude of around 20 miles. All the action was filmed by a camera that was attached to the balloon as well. The mission was declared successful when the team found the shuttle 160 miles southeast from where it was launched.
