It might surprise you but a great source of art is the U.S. Patent Office that dates back to 1790. In the early days, companies took great pride in their patents and hired artists to render detailed drawing of their invention. However, the quality of these drawings have declined over the years. In this series you’ll see drawings decline in quality over the years.
