The neighbors of British artist Richard Shillings are often surprised by the strange-looking natural structures that he creates. What could best be classified as natural land art, his works often involve leaves, twigs, rocks, and ice, arranged in such as way as to be unmistakably the work of human hands. What’s also neat about his land art is that the natural objects he uses are beautiful in their own right, but then once arranged, they take on yet another avenue of beauty. Below is a selection of Richard Shilling’s natural works of art.
