When one wants to travel from the cities Toyama to Shinano in Japan, the North Alpine Mountains can be taken as one of the options. These mountains, better known as the ‘roof of Japan’, can get covered with a 65-foot high layer of snow in the winter. It turns the road into an impressive corridor with huge walls of snow.
