This video makes an interesting point that understanding is essentially the ability to perceive patterns. The irony is that the patterns of everyday life from the cities that we live in, to the electronics we use today are all starting to mimic life itself. The highways and streets we drive down are just like veins and capillaries in living organisms. In addition, as our cities continue to grow, our technology advances, and our communications networks expand, the striking resemblance to the structure of not only the human brain and its function, but also the most advanced computer calculations that model what the dark (invisible) matter in the universe looks like, is undeniable. Whether he is true or not in all of his assertions, the narrator has a funny and entertaining way of making his point. We’re convinced that “the Matrix” is his favorite movie.
