Visual Effects in Movies

Visual effects in movies have come a long way in recent years with the help of advanced computers. Filming an actor in front of a blue screen or green screen, a process called chroma key compositing, can literally make them appear anywhere in the world. The green or blue are chosen because those are the colors least likely to show up in skin tones so the computer can simply erase them from the scene and replace it with whatever image the director sees fit. This video shows the power of this cool compositing technique.
