Garrett McNamara (USA) set a new world record for the biggest wave ever surfed by conquering a 90-footer in Praia do Norte, Portugal. The previous world record was set in 2001 by Mike Parsons surfing a 77-footer in Cortez Bank. Only a few surfers in the world have the nerve to attempt to ride such monsters.
