What started as a knitted wrap for the door handle of Magda Sayeg’s boutique in Houston on a slow day in 2005, has evolved into an international movement called yarn bombing. One could look at it as a more homely version of graffiti. In involves wrapping “cold” everyday objects in public, almost in a motherly fashion, with the brightly colored old school handicraft of knitting.
